Hello!  I am Shubha Swamy and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia, a Certified Professional Counseling Supervisor (CPCS) and a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist.  I have been in the field of mental health counseling for over 20 years, helping, men, women and young adults with their various presenting issues.  I completed my Masters at the University of Vermont and began my professional career in Boston, MA.   I am well-versed in the spectrum of anxiety-related issues, depression, helping individuals adjust to life transitions, and to cope with workplace matters.  

 

An area of special interest is in Reproductive-Maternal Mental Health - assisting folks with all matters pertaining to starting a family, infertility struggles, miscarriages/perinatal losses to IVF & ART (assisted reproductive technology).  I also work with women and men around postpartum mood issues.  

 

I utilize a combination of theoretical approaches, including cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, relational, clinical hypnotherapy, and solution-focused brief therapy, to meet you where you are, and to help guide you to where you want to go.

I have been featured as an expert guest on GA Reproductive Specialists live FB post, I have been a expert  panelist with Jewish Fertility Foundation and led their support groups multiple times, as well as being a guest on television programs focusing on family & relationships and infertility.
